From WBC:
“TIGRE” NOT QUITE UP TO SCRATCH IN CANCÚN
Slim pickings for leaner Alejandra “Tigre” Jiménez, who`s showed iron discipline to considerably slim down from heavyweight to super middleweight, but didn`t got the result she was looking for, with a majority draw against Iraís Hernandez, at the Oasis Arena, Cancun.
Alejandra who triumphed as the first Mexican heavyweight champion of the WBC, battled hard for the majority draw after eight rounds. Two Judges saw it 76-76 and one scored her winning 77-75.
This was “Tigre`s” first bout after shedding more than 20 kilos, looking to shine, in the highly competitive super middleweight division. It turned out to be, and it turned into a complicated night, and the fight was a lot closer than anticipated. However on the plus side, Alejandra worked extremely hard to keep her undefeated record of 10-0-1, with eight knockouts, while Irais left the ring with a creditable pro mark of 2-1-1.
