In the first female Main Event ever in Puerto Rico, from the Cancha Ruben Zayas Montanez in Trujillo Alto, the WBO Featherweight champion Amanda Serrano (28-1-1, 21 KOs) proved again why she is the #1 women in the world as she deals Hungarian Edina Kiss (6-1, 3 KOs) her first defeat.
Kiss never seemed comfortable in the ring, in her first real test of her young career, swinging wildly and with head down, away from the target.
With her superior skills and conditioning, Serrano was all over her prey, delivering the left uppercut, right and left upstairs putting Kiss to the canvas only 1 minute into the contest. Kiss returned to her feet only to backpeddle to avoid her advancing predator until the bell to end the opening round.
Kiss could not match the pin-point precision of the champ, as Serrano landed to the head and body at will on the inexperienced Kiss.
At 1:20 of the 4th Round, the referee called an end to the beating and making history for Serrano in her homeland.
The historic show was presented by Red Carpet Promotions and DiBella Entertainment.
Serrano’s work-rate is phenomenal! Congratulations Champ!
