Anabel “La Avispa (The Wasp)” Ortiz (27-3, 4 KOs) of Mexico City stung Venezuelan Debora Rengifo (10-5-1, 5 KOs) with a clear dominating performance on Saturday evening on Promociones Zanfer’s show at Domo Sindicato de Trabajadores IMSS in Tlalpan, Distrito Federal, Mexico to keep hold of her WBA Minimumweight Championship.

Ortiz outworked and wore down the visiting opponent with stinging shots to the midsection and head.
A frustrated Rengifo could not keep up the pace as the bout slipped away.
After 10 rounds of championship action, Ortiz keeps her title with official scores of 100-90, 99-91, 98-92.
