Ewa Brodnicka (14-0, 2 KOs) to make 1st official defense of her full-fledged WBO Super Featherweight Championship on Saturday, April 21st at the Hala Sportowa in Częstochowa, Poland.
After being install from Interim to full World Champion, Brodnicka will be honored by her home fans as she puts another stamp on her young career with her 1st defense of her title in front of her family and friends when she takes on Canadian Sarah Pucek (8-2-1, 1 KO).
Pucek, a 10 year professional, is making her first attempt to be a World Champion, after attempts at Junior titles like the NABF Super Featherweight strap that she holds from a Unanimous Decision win last April over Marquita Lee.
In just five (5) years, Brodnicka has officially become Champion of the World with no signs of slowing down. At 33 years of age, she has dominated the European region and now the world.
Brodnicka’s promoter, Tymex Boxing Promotions, won the WBO Junior Lightweight Championship purse bid for interim Champion Brodnicka vs. World Champion Ramona Kühne on January 29th. After failed attempts to schedule the matchup, the WBO stripped Kühne of her title and installed Brodnicka as their full-fledged Champion.
