PHIRI READY TO DEFEND WBC TITLE
World Boxing Council bantamweight champion Catherine Phiri (11-1-0, 5 KO’S) from Zambia, will be defending her title for the first time in August 27 in Lusaka, Zambia, against the dangerous Gabisile Tshabalala (9-1-1), from South Africa.
Phiri comes from winning the WBC world championship in Mexico, after defeating Yazmin Rivas, by decision in the 6th round, with the scorecards of: 57-57, 58-56 and 59-55.
While Tshabalala, comes from defeating Unathi Myekeni by decision.
