From WBC:
Cecilia Breakus ready for the traditional Mexican celebration
Cecilia Breahkus is keen to return to Los Angeles and begin her preparation for her September 15th fight on the undercard of middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
Cecilia, who is currently in Norway, talked about her last fight against Inna Sagaydakovskaya, who she defeated by unanimous decision in Russia. she said: “it was my first fight in Russia, against a Russian girl and we didn`t know what to expect. But we were very well received and it was an adventure. She was bigger than me, but I was very well prepared.
“The hardest part about remaining champion is that you always have to stay motivated and hungry. Because so many young fighters are coming up and they want everything you`ve worked for. So I always find new ways to be more creative and a better fighter, and stay one step ahead.”
Cecilia also explained that fighting bigger, stronger and heavier opponents presents a fascinating prospect for her. She explained: “It`s an extra motivation, because you have to be so much better. It`s what I love about Boxing. It`s not just the person who`s got the biggest muscles.”
Cecilia says she will be coming to the third WBC Women`s Convention, November 28th to December 2nd, training commitments permitting, stressing it`ll be her first visit to Mexico. She also commented: “Women`s Boxing is now on a wave. I`m so happy to be part of it, although I don`t have many years left.”
