On Saturday at the Radisson Victoria Plaza in Montevideo, Uruguay, Cecilia Comunales regained her WBA Lightweight title.
As part of the Sampson Boxing and Mahkota Promotions show, local favorite – Comunales (14-1, 9 KOs) destroyed Brazilian Valeria Rodrigues dos Santos (6-5, 2 KOs) to reclaim her world title. The champ battered Rodrigues dos Santos into submission where the bout was stopped at 49 seconds into the 8th Round.
