DETROIT – On December 12, 2017, exactly one month before defending her title live as the main event on Showtime, the media and general public are cordially invited to attend an open workout featuring Flint, Michigan’s own two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, WBC and IBF female super middleweight World Champion Claressa “T-Rex” Shields (4-0, 2 KOs).
Watch as Shields prepares for her January 12, 2018 fight with the undefeated Tori Nelson (17-0-3, 2 KOs) who is looking to capture her second world title in this showdown. The fight will air on ShoBox: The New Generation live at 10 p.m. ET/PT from Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y.
Fighters, Trainers, and Salita Promotions founder Dmitry Salita will be available for photographs and interviews at public workout.
