From Bermudez Facebook Account: “Perseveres and triumph 💪 👊 👍”

Friday the 13th Nightmare may haunt an emotional Marcela Acuna after she fought a great battle of Argentina Super Bantamweights.

“La Tigresa” Acuna (46-7-1, 19 KOs) drops a close decision to countrywoman Daniela “La Bonita” Bermudez (23-3-3, 6 KOs) in front of a passionate crowd at the Microestadio Municipal, Hurlingham, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In a reported very close matchup over 10 rounds, Acuna felt cheated by controversial scoring before citing (translated to English): “But with the tranquility of knowing that we’ve given everything up in the ring.” She continued, “Congratulations to Daniela and all your team who also drink to the show. Just look forward to it. We’ll get a rematch.”

Official Scores: 97-93, 96-94, 98-92 all for the new IBF and WBO Champion Bermudez.

Bermudez becomes a three division WBO Champion after claiming the Bantamweight title in 2013, the Super Flyweight belt in 2014, and now the Super Bantamweight Crown. She has also held the WBA Bantamweight and Super Flyweight strap in addition to the newly acquired IBF Super Bantamweight championship.
