Thorslund targets World title as she improves to 10-0 with unanimous points win in Schwerin
Dina Thorslund (10-0, 6 KOs) recorded her tenth victory tonight at the Sport and Congress Center in Schwerin as she sets her sights on a World title challenge,
Thorslund out boxed her Croatian opponent Nevenka Mikulic winning every round with her superior work rate and punch selection.
“It was great to get eight rounds at a high pace. I was in control all the way and controlled the ring. I think it was a perfect fight as hopefully my next fights could be a world title fight over ten rounds,” said the super bantamweight.
“Nevenka was a good opponent who could take some punches. Many of my opponents run away from me, but this girl gave a good fight and she was strong when we were in infight. ”
“I hope and believe that I will soon be fighting for a World title. I did the job, as I should today, and I feel I have what it takes to become a world champion.”
Said promoter Nisse Sauerland: “Dina continues to impress. She is a ferocious fighter. We will now look to move her into a mandatory position to challenge for a World title.”
