CLARESSA SHIELDS AND SZILVIA SZABADOS CLASH FOR NABF TITLE
This Friday at the MGM Grand, Detroit, in an extravaganza, Claressa Shields, and Szilvia Szabados, from Hungary, will contest for the vacant NABF female middleweight crown.
Shown live on Showtime, Shobox: The New Generation series has boosted the careers of 67 future world champions, so it is very likely that in the future one of these two fighters will contest fpr the WBC’s green and gold belt.
Thanks to promoter Dmitriy Salita and NABF president Duane Ford, who sanction this fight, helping to return boxing greatness to the area of Detroit a city well known for producing great champions and legends like Tommy “Hitman” Hearns.
The World Boxing Council wishes good luck to both fighters and thanks all people involved in bringing women’s boxing right to the top. The WBC has always supported women boxing, starting with Don José Sulaiman, WBC’s Lifetime President, who stressed that gender should never be an obstacle to success.
