As part of the Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter war, Heather Hardy took he place as a mainstay undercard installment.
Hardy (17, 4 KOs) proved to be the quicker, powerful, and more efficient athlete over the visiting southpaw Kirstie Simmons (8-2, 2 KOs) in Featherweight action on Saturday evening at the Barclays Center.
The right hand of “The Heat” was pretty much unstoppable, as it kept Simmons headed backwards. The attacks mounted through 8 strong rounds, but Simmons was able to survive the full 16 minutes of persistent action on her feet.
Official Scores: 79-73, 78-74, 78-74
