PIECES OF EIGHT! “ROCA” FACES UNDEFEATED STOJANOVIC THIS SATURDAY
The World Boxing Council light flyweight champion Ibeth “Roca” Zamora is fighting fit and absolutely ready to defend her WBC crown for the 8th time, against Serbian Nina Stojanovic in Torreon, Coahuila.
The Mexican fighter aged 27 has 26 victories 11 of them by KO and 5 defeats. It’s here 8th defense of her crown against a Serbian, who hasn’t yet got a blemish on her record.
Ibeth made her pro debut in 2007 by defeating Ana Arrazola (3-0), she also defeated the then unbeaten Japanese Momoko Kanda (3-0), on to “Kika” Chávez (5-0) and Anabel Ortiz (4-0), blotting their undefeated marks.
“Roca” was defeated by Yessica Bopp (9-0) and also by Etsuko Tada (7-0) and Mexican Yesica Nery Plata (4-0), in what was her last defeat, before conquering the WBC light flyweight championship. She has now more than 4 years and remains as solid as a Rock.
