The double world champion, Ibeth “Roca” Zamora, is presented by the Rural Confederation of Women a Sports Emeritus Award due to her exceptional achievements in the pro boxing ring.
The organization is formed by rural and indigenous women, it is led by Senator, Meli Romero from Colima, and is celebrating 101 years of the Agrarian Law.
“I am so thankful to Senator Romero. I have learned so much from her. She is always there to serve and support all the indigenous women. This recognition fills me with pride and commits me to keep working hard in order to get more triumphs. I will keep provong just what women are capable of,” promised Ibeth…brimming with pride!
She added: “ I would love to give back to the sport the joys it has given me. I want to spread the sport throughout my Otomi community with the youth and women. We must take a lot of advantage from all the existing initiatives to create the sports foundations.”
