Mexico’s former WBA and WBC Champion Jackie “La Princesa Azteca” Nava (34-4-3, 15 KOs) won the right to face WBC Bantamweight Champion Mariana Juarez (50-9-4, 18 KOs) after stopping Alys Sanchez back in August. But negotiations fell short of completion for the October 27th matchup date. Team Juarez sought a new opponent and is now set to face former champion Susie Ramadan (27-2, 12 KOs) of Australia on that date.
Nava was left to consider other options and found that option… Zanfer Promotions is bringing Colombia’s Interim WBA Bantamweight Champion Dayana “El Diamante” Cordero (17-5-3, 12 KOs) on Saturday, November 10th in Durango, Mexico.
Putting in an aggressively extensive camp, Nava is in superior condition and ready to win global dominance again.
At 38 years old, “La Princesa Azteca” is showing no signs of slowing down.
The 22 year old WBA champion Cordero has been professional for over 8 years now, debuting at the age of 14.
In early 2016, after three challenges for world championships, Cordero stopped Sayda Mosquera to earn the interim WBA Title and has held it strong since.
After November 10th, look for negotiations to restart for Nava vs. Juarez.
