MRDJENOVICH READY TO DEMAND OF AMAND
“Zut alors!…World Boxing Council featherweight champion Canadian, Jelena Mrdjenovich 36-10-1, 19 KO’S), will defend her crown on Saturday at the Cergy-Pontoise Complex in Val-d’Oise, France against local Gaelle Amand, who has an undefeated record of 14 triumphs.
This Friday, both fighters passed the official weigh in with no problem.
The WBC Champion tipped 125.2 pounds, while Amand detuvo tipped 125.4 .
The featherweight division limit is 126 pounds, so both fighters are comfortable, honed and more than ready for their clash.
Jelena comes from winning the crown after defeating Argentinian Edith Soledad Matthyss in March of this year. While Gaelle Amand defeated Argentinian Tamara Marianella Nunez to conquer the WBC international belt.
