JELENA MRDJENOVICH READY TO SPELL IT OUT IN FRANCE
At the Des Maradas Complex in Cergy-Pontoise, Valle del Oise, France, World Boxing Council female featherweight Champion, Jelena Mrdjenovich (36-10-1, 19 KOs), from Alberta , Canada, defends her belt against undefeated Gaëlle Amand (14-0, 1 KO), from Cergy-Pontoise, France.
Mrdjenovic debuted as professional in 2003. She won the WBC super featherweight championship in 2005.
In her last fight on March 11th, Jelena recovered her WBC featherweight belt in a tough fight against Edith Soledad Matthysse.
Amand debuted as pro in 2010 and she`s still undefeated in 6 years.
“I feel strong. We have followed a great training routine at camp. We`re aware that isn`t easy travel to France and win, but I`ve travelled to other countries to bring home victory with me. So, this is very exciting for me. Undefeated fighters are always dangerous, as they are willing and determined to fight exceptionally hard, giving absolutely everything they`ve got. But… she hasn`t yet fought against someone like me, It`ll be be very interesting. I feel well, strong and confident in getting the triumph, ” pledged the champion.
