from Reis’ Facebook Page:
“I just was want say THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support me last night! We got that WIN and it was such a blessing to have my brothers and sisters dance and sing beside me to spread that good medicine for ALL NATIONS! 💜✊🏽💪🏽”
In her return to action match on Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing: “Slugfest at the Sun”, Kali “KO Mequinonoag” Reis (14-7-1, 4 KOs) of Rhode Island picked up right where she left off… Fighting for all Nations and showing why she is one of the best on the planet.
In one the those rare home turf bouts, Reis put on for her family and friends on Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, squaring off with Mexico’s Paty Ramirez (11-6, 5 KOs).
As in every ring walk, Reis was escorted to the ring with traditional Native American drums, song, and dance.
Reis vs Ramirez was the co-feature 8-Rounder that put Reis’ skills back on display, establishing the jab before breaking Ramirez down and demoralizing her to a one-sided decision defeat.

From Star Boxing’s Press Release:
Obviously, it is no secret that Reis wants that rematch with Cecilia Brækhus and it is no secret that the public demands it! Reis is on weight for it to happen tomorrow, if the chance arose.
