Irish Katie Taylor (5-0, 3 KOs) is set to make her US debut on Saturday when facing veteran Jasmine Clarkson (4-8) of Texas as part of the Mikey Garcia vs. Adrien Broner undercard.
Taylor brings her undefeated record across the pond with her stellar amateur career to seek a piece of the American stardom. She already spends much time training in Providence, Rhode Island. On Saturday night, it is showtime under the big lights of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.
Clarkson is no stranger to being the underdog and facing skilled competition. Her record does not speak for her level of opponents. She has stepped through the ropes to face champion Jennifer Salinas, title challengers Natasha Spence, Kimberly Connor, as well as prospects Angelica Rascon, Lucia Osequeda, and more. Many losses were very close while she also boasts no knockout defeats.
