KENYA ENRIQUEZ LOOKING FORWARD TO SECOND DEFENCE OF WBC INTERIM TITLE
WBC interim female light flyweight champion, Kenia Enriquez, is preparing as never before, to defend her cherished title against tough twenty four year old Costa Rican fighter, Yokasta Valle, (13-1-0, 6 KO’S).
Enriquez (20-1, 9 kos), who`s the very same age, is thrilled to be making this defence in her home turf of Tijuana, in a boxing event promoted by Zanfer on Saturday, April 28.
The popular Baja Californian won the crown on May 27 last year, by defeating Maria Salinas in Ciudad Obregon by technical knockout, The same city where she defended the belt six months later by defeating Jessica Nery Plata in a tremendously competitive fight.
Regarding her future in this sport, Enriquez, 24, is confident and keen to prove that she will go down in history alongside Mexico`s fantastic array of illustrious champions.
“I have always said that I am going to be one of the best fighters that Mexico has seen, I am only 24 years old and I already have two world titles, if God gives me life and health I could do a lot in boxing.”
