KIKA RIDDLES TABORDA TO EXTEND REIGN
Yessica “Kika” Chávez brilliantly defend her WBC flyweight, defeating tough Arentinian, Vanesa Taborda, by unanimous decision.
Their fight was at the Regional Sports Center Americas in Ecateptec, Estado de México.
“The Queen of Ecatepec” regally fought imperiously in front of more than 7,500 fans; with an intelligent boxing strategy, that she imposed on Vanesa Taborda, who was not able to discover let alone solve the puzzle.
Chavez used all the ring, offering a mobile and great show, delighting her legions of fans. An idol, who was far from idle.
At the end of the 10 rounds, the Judges ‘scorecards were announced: Obregón 97-92, Nardone 97-92 and Cervantes 97-93, all of them in favor of Chavez.
