Luna del Mar Torroba contesting WBC Interim Crown
Colombian fighter and resident of Argentina, Luna del Mar Torroba seeks the WBC interim Bantamweight title of the World Boxing Council against Austrian Eva Voraberger, on October 20 in the city of Deutschlandsberg, Austria.
Torroba, a professional since 2011, will come to this match with 12 victories, eight defeats and two draws. While Voraberger arrives with 23 wins and five loses.
Torroba, born in Colombia and nationalized Argentina, has faced quality fighters: Débora Anahí Dionicius and Yésica Bopp.
“Fighting for the green and gold title was always my biggest dream. We`ve been training 100% since we`ve had ample notice of this fight, “commented Torroba.
“I’ve seen videos of my rival. She is a strong boxer, she wonhas several times by knockout. But at the self same time she is not a fast boxer, nor does she have many technical resources. My strategy has to be to go out and move and take care of myself when we trade punches. The good thing that I come to this with invaluable experience, and I`m very motivated to become a world champion.”
