From WBC:
HAMADOUCHE AND PACHECO MAKE WEIGHT FOR WBC FEMALE SILVER LIGHTWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP IN PARIS
Former European champion Maiva Hamadouche and Enis Pacheco from Colombia are more than ready for their WBC Female Silver Lightweight Championship on Friday in Paris.
At the weigh-in, Pacheco was 61,0 kg (134.5 lbs.) while local hero Hamadouche was a little lighter at 59,7 kg (131.6 lbs.).
The winner will not only take home the Silver belt, but will also be on direct collision course with World Champion Delfine Persoon. Hamadouche already had a shot at the Belgian Pound-for-Pound-Queen last November but lost a close decision in a “Fight Of The Year” candidate. Now the 26-year-old “El Veneno” wants to force a rematch.
But Hamadouche surely cannot underestimate her opponent who held a world title from 2012 to 2013. “Huracan” Pacheco enters the ring with a record of 15 wins (seven by knockout) with only three losses and one draw. While Hamadouche has won twelve of her 13 pro fights with ten wins inside the distance and the sole defeat against Persoon.
The Silver Championship will be promoted by Malamine Kone (MK Events) and take place at legendary Cirque d’Hiver in Paris.
