Mariana Juarez (41-8-4, 17 KOs) will put her WBC International Super Flyweight crown up for grabs against Noemi Bosques (10-4-2, 2 KOs) on Saturday, February 6, 2016, in Mexico City.
“Barbie” Juarez first claimed the WBC International title in July of 2013 in a rematch with Riyo Togo following being long time WBC Flyweight World Champion. Most recently, she fought Vanessa Taborda twice with the International title on the line with controversial endings in last July and October.
Bosques has been a women on a mission, fighting five tough contests in 2015, with 2016 being an even more trying year. She has put in true resilience in two hard-fought bouts with undefeated Heather Hardy. In August, she grasped the WIBF International title with a decision win over Marisol Miranda and aims for something more golden.
Juarez stated regarding the matchup:
“I always ask for the best and I think that Noemi is on her way to becoming a figure. I like this kind of challenge, where people see that I give my best to leave with the victory and that fans are left with a great taste to see my performance. Everyday I leave everything in training to please all who support me.”
This championship bout is presented by Prensa Promociones del Pueblo and will be televised live on Mexico’s Televisa network.
