At the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada, Groupe Yvon Michel (GYM) Promotions’ IBF Super Welterweight Champion Marie-Eve Dicaire (17-0) successfully and easily retained her title over Venezuela’s former champion Ogleidis Suarez (29-4-1, 13 KOs) on Saturday.
In an uncommon performance for the visiting challenger, Suarez didn’t produce enough to equalize the outpointing technical champion.
Official Scores: 100-90, 100-90, 99-91
This was the third successful defense for Dicaire since stripping the belt from Chris Namus in December of last year.
