As the Co-Feature on Sauerland Promotion’s Nordic Fight Night in Stockholm, Sweden, WBC Super Welterweight champion Mikaela Lauren (27-3, 12 KOs) hammered Croatian Ivana Habazin (15-3, 6 KOs) into submission.
Lauren embarrassed Habazin at the weighin on Friday, by dumping water over her head “trying to cool her down to prepare her for how hot it’s gonna be in the ring”.
Lauren keep the embarrassment going inside the ropes as she battered the former IBF Welterweight Champ from the opening bell until the referee waved off the bout at 1:55 of the 3rd round.
At 40 years old, Lauren has been on a roll and looking stronger and stronger, since taking a decision loss to Middleweight champion Christina Hammer in 2013. With eight strong wins since, she is demanding another shot at the cream of the crop (maybe Cecilia Brækhus or Hammer).
