UK’s southpaw Super Featherweight Natasha Jonas (6-0, 5 KOs) continues her rise to the top as she crushes France’s Taoussy L’Hadji (5-7-1) to win her first title, the WBA International Championship, on Saturday at Echo Arena in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK.

“Miss GB” was straight up vicious with her rapid combinations and overwhelmed the lanky and awkward visiting L’Hadji.

In the 7th Round, Jonas delivered a crippling right hand the followed with left to the body and a concluding uppercut from the right that put L’Hadji to the canvas. The referee reached the standing 8 count before waving off the championship contest giving the UK favorite the WBA title victory.

Official Time of the Stoppage: 1:42 of the 7th Round

Post-fight, Jones stated, “I wanted to come out and get the win, I think my punch power showed in there. I’ve still got a lot to improve on though.” She continued, “I wanted to step up, I could have done another twenty rounds in there.”
