Dallas, Texas’ Samantha Salazar (6-5-2) scored a near perfect Unanimous Decision victory over local Noemi Bosques (11-14-3, 2 KOs) on Saturday at USF Sundome in Tampa, Florida to claim the vacant ABF USA Super Flyweight title.
Salazar becomes the ABF’s inaugural Super Flyweight Champion with the win and comes after a Split Draw in October against unbeaten Bantamweight prospect Avril Mathie, whom also fought on Saturday’s show.
She is currently riding a five fight unbeaten streak to get her career back on track after dropping consecutive fights to former Olympic medalist Marlene Esparza and Canadian National Champion Shelly Barnett.
