This Saturday night, SES Boxing presents a WBC Female Youth double-header at Grand Hotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic.
Fabiana Bytyqi is defending her Youth World Minimumweight Championship against Halima Vunjabei from Tanzania while Lucie Sedlackova and Pasa Malagic will fight for the vacant Youth World Featherweight title. Even though they are only 20 and 22 years old, blonde Fabiana and black-haired Lucie are already big stars in the Czech Republic and two of the most promising talents in women’s boxing. They are both trained by former European and World Superwelterweight Champion Lukas Konecny and promoted by Ulf Steinforth who is very proud of his raw diamonds.
“Both Fabiana and Lucie have made excellent developments in the last two years”, says Steinforth. “They are still very young and need to get more experience but they definitely have the potential to be the best in the world.”
All four fighters had no problems making weight. Bytyqi weighed in at 47.3 kg (104.3 lbs.) while Vunjabei was exactly on the mark at 47.6 kg (105 lbs.). Sedlackova (56.8 kg / 125.2 lbs.) was slightly heavier than Malagic (55.9 kg / 123.2 lbs.).
The title fights will be broadcasted live on TV Nova, the biggest Czech TV network. Fights of Bytyqi and Sedlackova reach up to 50 percent market share.
