In her DiBella Entertainment debut on Wednesday night, Cindy Serrano (24-5-3, 10 KOs) scored the definitive victory over Renata Domsodi (13-9, 6 KOs) of Budapest, Hungary at the B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in midtown Manhattan.
Serrano stood poised and powerful with the Serrano Sisters championship determination with Domsodi. Serrano hammered away at the resilient Domsodi’s head and body for a full 6 rounds of action.
Despite being cut over the left eye, the Hungarian foe refused to quit. Her heart kept her in the bout, but she was not able to keep up an equalizing attack.
Official Scores: 60-54, 60-54, 60-54 all for Serrano
Jordan Maldanado, Serrano’s Manager:
Renata is tuff and awkward we had a ton of fans and didn’t want to fight a sloppy fight as we’ve seen her do before. Cindy fought smart didn’t get hit much and pretty much had her way. It was our first fight under the Dibella banner and wanted to show how skillful we are. Amanda gets them out quickly showing brutal power and Cindy shows you the true essence of skillful boxing.
With her sister Amanda’s WBO win last month, we expect DiBella to move the veteran Cindy along the championship route along with stable members Heather Hardy and Shelly Vincent very soon.
