17 year old Sophie Alisch (1-0, 1 KO) of Berlin, Germany just smashed her way into the professional ranks with a relentless 52 seconds that dropped Georgia’s Sopo Kintsurashvili twice, the later was too much for her to continue.
At the CGM Arena in Koblenz, Germany on Saturday, Alisch delivered powerful punches to the head of her opponent who could not find her escape off of the ropes. Kintsurashvili crumpled to the canvas from the rapid and powerful flurry after only 20 seconds of the Featherweight 4-Rounder. Taking the 8-Count, Kintsurashvili stepped right back into the fire. Alisch pounced on her defenseless opponent, pushing her back into the neutral corner and dropping Kintsurashvili a second and final time. She shook off the referee questions on continuing the match.
Official Time of the KO: 0:52 of Round 1
The youngest German National Amateur Champion Alisch only started boxing at 15 years of age, winning 3 German Championships, two bronze medals in European Championships. She has been considered to be Germany’s biggest female boxing talent since Regina Halmich.
