Back healthy and fit, Erica Farias (26-3, 10 KOs) of Buenos Aires, Argentina worked out for the public in Downtown Chicago ahead of her rematch with local Jessica McCaskill (7-2, 3 KOs) on Saturday evening at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

Farias told us that she has fully dedicated all of her “efforts to this fight”. She is “Healthy in both body and mind”.

Many of times, we see champions defending against inferior competition. McCaskill has not taken that route since obtaining Farias WBC belt a year ago. She went after WBA Champion Anahi Sanchez and snatched up her belt. Now, all align for the anticipated rematch.

Always full of smiles, Farias jumped right back into training following the healing and rehab on her fractured right tibia and fibula as soon as she could with her only focus on recovery of her property.

Farias is giving a bit away in reach and height, but that has never deterred “La Pantera” from pouncing. She looked more determined this time around.

Obviously, Katie Taylor has jumped up to contend for the 140 lb belts. Now, the prospective of a megafight opportunity grows with Saturday’s WBC and WBA Championship victoress. The Panther is very hungry!
