September is definitely shaping up to be the Month of #WomenofBoxing!
As part of a multi-collaborative promotional card in Westbury, NY on Thursday, September 10th, one of New York’s favorite #WomenofBoxing Amanda Serrano (24-1, 18 KOs) will be featured in the Co-Main Event opposed by former champion Fatuma Zarika (24-22-2, 14 KOs) of Nairobi, Kenya.
Zarika is a late fill-in as Angel Gladney (8-11, 6 KOs) of North Carolina became the latest of opponents to backout of this Lightweight six-round matchup.
Serrano has been hard at work, as usual, preparing for this match. She has ideal training team situation with teammate and sister Cindy along with manager/trainer Jordan Maldonado keeping them both fit 24/7/365.
In between training for this Thursday’s expected entertaining exhibition of skills, Serrano has been involved in filming of “Fight Valley” KnockAround Girls along with her sister and many other top female boxing and mma athletes.
Regardless of her fictional character portrayal or training regimen, Serrano is staying active in the sport she loves and beloved as a boxing crowd-pleaser.
Serrano is a four time #theBIZ #BotM winner (February 2013, August 2014, November 2014, and February 2014).
