In a matchup that was originally made for April, Brazil’s Vivian Obenauf (13-4, 7 KOs) put on the performance of her professional career in stopping Matchroom Boxing’s Natasha Jonas (6-1, 5 KOs) on Jonas’ UK soil.

Jonas was originally slated to faceoff with Obenauf on April 21 in Liverpool for the vacant WBA International Super Featherweight title but a foot injury forced the Brazilian to withdraw. France’s Taoussy L’Hadji stepped in and Jonas crushed her for the title.

Fast forward a few months and the stage was set at the Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff, Wales.

While Jonas was calm and collected at the weighins, Obenauf seems amped with anticipation and ready to pounce on Saturday.

Once that opening bell rang, Obenauf went right in on the attack, delivering unmatched pounding blows with both of her hands.

Jonas was put to the canvas in the third round courtesy of a combination that ended with a powerful right. Regaining her footing, Obenauf returned Jonas to the canvas with a stifling right.

In the 4th Round, Obenauf applied relentless pressure, banging away at Jones. The visiting challenger put Jonas on her backside on the canvas once again. Bouncing back up and seeming depleted and defeated, Jonas continued on.

Obenauf came right back at Jonas, pushing her backwards and unloaded. Jonas could not muster up any real offense and was hanging on the ropes when the referee saw enough and stopped the match.

Official Time of the Stoppage: 1:42 of the 4th Round
