Taylor and McCaskill make weight

Irish Katie Taylor and American Jessica McCaskill completed the weigh-in ceremony this Tuesday December 12. The boxers hit the scales at 134.1 and 132.9 pounds respectively and, thus, they are ready to fight for the WBA Female Lightweight Title this Thursday in England.
Taylor, who has a record of 7 wins, four of them by knockout, will face her first world title defense after beating Argentina’s Anahi Esther Sánchez. On the other hand, McCaskill, with a record of 5 won, one lost and 3 knockouts, will fight for a world title for the first time.
Meanwhile, Englishmen Jake Ball (10-1, 8KOs) and Miles Shinkwin (14-2, 7KOs) weighed in at 173.8 and 174.5 pounds respectively, and all is set for their fight for the WBA-Intercontinental belt that is currently vacant.
