From WBC:
“Barby” aims for over and out against Down Under challenge
This Saturday night the World Boxing Council female bantamweight champion, Mariana ‘Barby’ Juarez will defend her green and gold crown, against Australian Susie Ramadan at the Miguel Barragan Gymnasium in San Luis Potosí.
Ramadan (27-2, 12 KO’s) is a worthy rival, who hasn`t lost in four years. She has been twice world champion in this weight category and so it`s the best for Mariana, who stakes the 118 pounds belt for the sixth time.
Well trained, calm, focused and assured Mariana (50-9-4, 18 KO’s) states she`s good and ready to face and fight the Australian fighter in the main event of the card that`s presented by Promociones del Pueblo, which will be broadcast by Televisa Deportes.
Prior to her first fight in San Luis Potosí, Mariana sent her seven days weigh in, registering 123.3 pounds, showing she`s in great shape and determined to fend off the tremendous challenge to her WBC title.
