No fear…no worries! Juarez and Ramadan weigh in
Mexican Mariana ‘Barby’ Juarez and the Australian Susie Ramadan, are ready to wage war in the ring this Saturday at the Miguel Barragan Auditorium in San Luis Potosí.
Both fighters overcame the weigh in without problems. Mariana was 114.6 pounds, while Ramadan weighed 117.7 pounds.
The bantamweight champion of the World Boxing Council commented that she is extra motivated for this fight: “I’m glad that Susie is not afraid, and I just want her not to worry. I’m going to defend my title with everything. I have a great motivation….my Mother. This is my first fight without her and I will go out and give everything to honor her memory. I promised her I want to win the super bantamweight championship because I want a fourth world title.”
Ramadan responded: “I came from far away, but obviously I come to win. I’m not afraid to fight outside of my country. On Saturday night there will be two great champions facing each other and it will be me who gets the victory.”
