Hermosillo, Sonora is the boxing battleground for Mexico vs Venezuela, this weekend.
Zulina “La Loba” Muñoz, WBC Super flyweight Champion, will make her tenth title defense, against Carolina “La Fiera” Álvarez in the polyfunctional gym “Ana Gabriela Guevara” in a thriller to be broadcast Nationwide to Mexico by Azteca 7.
Muñoz (48-1-2, 28 kos) and Alvarez (15-6-4, 6 kos) compete in a ten rounds contest, sanctioned by the World Boxing Council, led by Mauricio Sulaiman. The Supervisor will be Francisco Mohuet, American Rocky Burke will be the Referee. The Judges will be Jacinto Obregón of Nicaragua, Edward Collantes of Los Angeles, California and Glen Crocker of San Antonio, Texas.

Challenger Carolina Alvarez insists the title will return with her to Venezuela. “I recognize the quality of the Mexican champion, but I have more experience than she. I fought in many countries against better champions,” said Carolina.
