A Champion for all seasons- Persoon Vs Taylor declare war
The World Boxing Council female lightweight champion, Belgian Delfine Persoon, will face and fight Irish Katie Taylor, also a world champion, in a supreme unification match, this Saturday night at Madison Square Garden in New York, with both fighters weighing in.
Persoon weighed 130.6 pounds, while Taylor was 134.6 pounds.
Persoon has only tasted defeat once in 44 professional fights. She has remained champion for five years, making nine successful defenses, Always having great performances, allowing her to position herself as one of the best fighters in the world.
For her part Taylor, is undefeated in 13 bouts, winning her first world title in just her seventh professional fight.
This Megafight is organized by Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing, and will be broadcast by the DAZN and Combate Space in Latin America.
