From MTK Global:
CAMERON’S WBC FINAL ELIMINATOR IN BRENTWOOD
The WBC final eliminator between Chantelle Cameron and Anisha Basheel will now take place in Brentwood on July 20 – live on ESPN+ in association with Top Rank and on iFL TV.
Northampton’s unbeaten Cameron (10-0, 7 KOs) had been due to meet the powerful Malawian at York Hall but the crucial bout will now take place on Essex’s next #MTKFightNight.
Cameron said: “This short delay doesn’t really affect my camp. It just gives me more time to practice the tactics.
“I’ll come off the boil for a day or two and then once I get back in there, I’ll have improved even more and got even stronger, so I’m looking at it as a positive.
“Brentwood is easier to get to for my fans and the fact it’s on a Saturday night means people won’t have to leave work early. All in all, it should be easier for my fans to get there and support me.”
Cameron has been in sensational form since signing with MTK Global – blasting aside Feriche Mashauri and Vaida Masiokaite early on at York Hall and Glasgow’s SSE Hydro respectively.
Joining ‘Il Capo’ on a busy card are world-ranked welterweight Michael McKinson, Neslan Machado vs. Alexander Mejia for the WBA International super-bantamweight title, Shaquille Day vs. Louis Adolphe for the Southern Area welterweight crown and more.
