From WBC:
Roca, Bonita, Little Lulu and Maricela lead the way signing up for the Women’s Clean Boxing Program
The Clean Boxing Program which started to be implanted on September 2016 and was first applied only for men. Now today it`s a welcome reality for women’s boxing. From last month the CBP was expanded as mandatory for all our WBC world champions and the first five ranked female fighters, who must enroll in the next 90 days, completing their registration to the program. Those who do not will be removed from the classifications.
The response of this initiative has been exemplary because all our fighters have shown their interest in being part of the project that aims to protect and safeguard the athletes and our beloved sport.
The first to join the Clean Boxing Program are WBC female flyweight champion, Ibeth Zamora, #3 super flyweight, Diana Fernandez; # 1 flyweight Lourdes Juarez and #5 minimumweight, Maricela Quintero.
Ibeth, Diana, Maricela and Lourdes are a magnificent and responsible example for all, and their participation represents caring and respect for the well-being of boxing.
We want to recognize and highlight the exemplary participation of the majority of the members of the boxing community and applaud the commitment shown by most of the promoters, managers but especially our boxers.
The forms that our women fighters need to fill are:
WBC Clean Boxing Program – Registration and Release Form
WBC Clean Boxing Program – Whereabouts Form
WBC Clean Boxing Program – Therapeutic Use Application
